The SS1280 Auto Share is a 4x4 magic switch box that allows up to four USB devices to be accessed by up to four computers. Multiple PCs can share USB peripherals, such as printer, scanner, hard drive, camera, keyboard, etc. in various combinations. This USB Share Switch acts like a bridge between the USB host and the multiple USB peripherals. Access to each USB device is selected by either manual push buttons on the Share Switch or via the Windows application program that displays the status and type of each USB device attached. Any individual PC can control all connections. Any PC can connect to any or all USB devices when available. Each PC also recognizes this unique product as a regular USB Hub, assuring USB compatibility and meeting all USB specifications. This USB Auto Share Switch can be cascaded up to five Switches. For example, two Share Switch can be linked together, allowing either four USB devices shared by seven computers or seven USB devices shared by four computers.
